Halftime Contests

At our league and tournament games, halftime is never downtime. We run fast, crowd-friendly contests—raffled shootouts, trick shots, and more—that keep parents, fans, and kids on their feet and send winners home with prizes. The energy stays high, the gym keeps buzzing, and every game feels bigger than basketball. And 10% of what's raised through our halftime shows goes to the charities listed below.

Selection

One participant is drawn from our emailed raffle and called to the floor.

Contest

Buckshot: 30 seconds of free throws, one dollar per make. Optional finisher, take one three for triple or nothing.

Selection

Buy numbered balls and throw toward the target. The four closest numbers are called to play.

Contest

Bullseye: one minute 3-point shootout. Prize equals two dollars for each made shot. Only the top scorer among the four wins any money.

Contest

Flying Dragon: 30 seconds from the 3-point line. Start with three frisbees, and you may reuse them as much as you want, but you must chase your own misses and return fully behind the arc before each throw. Make any one to win the mounting prize.

Selection

Purchase balls and roll from the far sideline. The three closest to the baseline are chosen.

Contest

Half-court heave. One attempt. Make it to take the mounting prize.

Selection

Two participants are drawn from our emailed raffle and start on opposite halves.

Contest

Gator Bite: three balls wait at half-court. At the horn, each player grabs one and goes to their own basket, shooting free throws until one goes in. The first to make it takes the remaining ball before the other player, then uses the remaining time to hit a single 3 to win. Three balls total, two shooters, one winner.

Selection

Purchase numbered balls and toss into the bucket. Every ball that lands inside earns a turn.

Contest

Shot Ladder: in 30 seconds, make a layup, a free throw, a 3, then a half-court shot. Complete all four to win the mounting prize.

Selection

Four participants are drawn from our emailed raffle. The first two, standing on opposite sides, choose their roles as guide or blindfolded shooter. The next two take the remaining roles, forming two teams of two.

Contest

Fifteen seconds. Both teams play at once. The guide gives directions by voice only, no touching. The first team to make the shot wins, and the two teammates split the mounting prize.
