Coach Marcus Brown is a passionate basketball coach with over 15 years of experience in both playing and coaching. Born and raised in the inner city, Marcus fell in love with basketball at a young age and quickly became a standout player in his community. After college, Marcus pursued his dream of playing professional basketball overseas in several different countries before returning to the US to transition into coaching. His coaching career began at a local high school where he was an assistant coach and helped lead the team to their first state championship in over a decade.

Marcus then moved on to become a head coach at the collegiate level, where he built a winning program from the ground up, with a focus on player development and community involvement. He has won numerous Coach of the Year awards and his players have gone on to successful careers both on and off the court.

Mike Johnson

Coach Mike Johnson is a basketball lifer, having played, coached, and studied the game for over 20 years. He was an exceptional high school player, earning All-State honors twice before taking his talents to a Division I program on a full scholarship.

Mike's college career was cut short by a devastating injury, but he quickly found solace in coaching, beginning as an assistant at his alma mater before moving on to larger roles at other schools in the region. His passion for teaching the game only grew, and soon, he was running his own camps and clinics for players of all ages.

While Mike's coaching pedigree is impressive, what truly sets him apart is his ability to connect with young players on a personal level. He knows firsthand the transformative power of basketball, having relied on it as a source of strength and motivation during his own struggles, and he uses that empathy to inspire his players to be their best on and off the court.

One of Mike's most cherished memories as a coach came during his first summer camp, when he noticed a quiet, withdrawn 10-year-old in his group. Sensing that something was wrong, Mike took the time to talk to him and discovered that the boy's father had recently passed away. Mike worked closely with the boy throughout the week, offering a sympathetic ear and helping him find comfort in basketball. By the end of the camp, the boy was smiling and laughing with the other players, and Mike knew he had made a true impact.

Mike brings that same passion and dedication to every camp and every player he works with, whether they're beginners just starting out or rising stars on the cusp of greatness. His commitment to excellence is contagious, and he takes great pride in helping young players reach their full potential and discover the joy of basketball.
